"Frida and Diego—a creative love story"
Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, one of the most intriguing couples of the 20th century, were known for their notorious marriage. Their passionate, tumultuous relationship was marked by love, art, and mutual admiration, but also by infidelity and conflict.
These two posters explore their complex relationship. The first poster delves into their early years, highlighting their growth as artists, with Frida as Diego's student. The second poster shifts focus to the later years, portraying their scandalous affairs, open marriage, divorce, and the intense rivalry that led to envy and disrespect of each other's work and ego.
These posters were created as entries for the "Frida and Diego: a creative love story" exhibition at Holon museum square, Israel, September 2024.
