Project: La Sonnambula (opera) Poster, 11"x17"
Assignment: Bellini's opera is a story about a young woman who is about to marry her sweetheart, only to be discovered—by the entire village, to say nothing of her fiancé— asleep in the bedroom of a stranger. It is her sleepwalking that is to blame, and everything ends happily.
Approach: There is no moon in the background, yet one can tell its hypnotic effect on the young woman, just by her staring at it.
