The Age of AI
Taiwan Invitational Poster Design (2024)
Honored to participate in the 2024 International Poster Design Exhibition—“30 Years of Sustained Excellence into the AI Generation”—organized by the Chunghwa Image Research Development Association in Taiwan. This project explores the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and human intelligence (HI), and how these forces shape our lives and work environments.
The core question driving my design was: Are we witnessing AI evolution or revolution? Where does evolution end and revolution begin—or are they part of an infinite cycle? The more I explored, the clearer it became that AI and HI exist in a continuous loop, influencing and advancing each other. This relationship not only affects technology but also transforms how we work—introducing an HR revolution through AI evolution.
These reflections inspired two interconnected posters:
Poster 1: AI Revolution through HI Evolution
This poster shows how AI emerged through human intelligence. Humans encoded knowledge into algorithms—symbolized by binary code—and sparked the rapid evolution of AI. AI reflects our capabilities, but only thrives because of our creativity, problem-solving, and ingenuity.
Poster 2: HR Revolution through AI Evolution
This poster examines how AI evolution now shapes human resources (HR). Workplaces and dynamics are changing through AI-driven tools, but human qualities—like creativity, empathy, and leadership—remain essential. A DNA strand represents the human element that must coexist with advancing technology.
The Infinite Loop: Binary Meets DNA
At the center of the design, an infinite loop connects the binary code from AI with the DNA strand from HI and HR, symbolizing their intertwined relationship. AI evolves through human input, while human work is transformed by AI’s presence. The two cannot be separated—they shape and drive each other in a continuous cycle.
The Hidden Messages: ‘Beware’ and ‘the end’
The posters contain hidden, encrypted messages embedded in the background. The word “Beware” appears at the top-left corner, urging us to approach AI with caution—reminding us of potential risks. At the bottom-right corner, the message concludes with “the end,” hinting at the importance of maintaining balance between humanity and technology. These messages provoke thought: Will AI bring harmony, or a new era of humanoid intelligence?
This project challenged me to think beyond design—exploring the delicate balance between human and artificial intelligence. It reminded me that AI is only as good as the people behind it. As workplaces evolve, technology must enhance—not replace—our human values. The infinite loop in my posters emphasizes that our future depends on how we balance AI with our humanity.
A heartfelt thank you to Chang Fang Pang and Chris Scott for their kind invitation to participate in this inspiring exhibition.
